Dear Friends & Colleagues,
We are pleased to announce that the 7th annual International Society of Ultrasound in Obstetrics & Gynaecology Outreach (ISUOG-OR) course to be held in Singapore at Suntec Singapore International Convention and Exhibition Centre from 6th – 8th May 2011. It is with great pleasure that I welcome past acquaintances and invite new participants to this course. With each year, the organizing committee strives to update regional colleagues on the latest developments. This year, we are privileged to have confirmed the participation of a group of internationally renowned experts on ultrasound to come to the region to give their expert views on issues commonly encountered in our daily practice.
The theme of the course is “Common borderline ultrasound findings; where the expert’s opinion makes a difference”. The focus is on common borderline ultrasound findings, many of which lack clear clinical information for counselling. Examples include suspected ventricular septal defects, mild ventriculomegaly, cardiac anomalies discovered in a FTS screen-negative fetus etc. The College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists, Singapore is also organizing a series of gynaecological lectures, updating us on the application of ultrasound in gynaecological conditions.
This course will not only be relevant to all ultrasound practitioners but also to the clinical practitioners, perinatal paediatricians and geneticists in the region. I trust that the course will continue to be academically stimulating. We look forward to your active participation.
